You can keep the factory look and still upgrade the sound
A lot of drivers don't want to touch the factory dash — leased vehicles, cars under warranty, or anyone who just likes the stock look. The good news is you can dramatically improve your sound without replacing the head unit.
Start with the speakers
Factory speakers are usually the weakest link. Swapping them for quality speakers that fit your factory openings is the single most affordable, most obvious upgrade — and your dash doesn't move at all. We install speakers that drop into the factory mounts for a clean, factory-looking finish.
Add a subwoofer and amp with a line-output converter
To add bass without replacing the stereo, we use a line-output converter (LOC) that taps into your factory speaker wires and gives the clean signal an amplifier needs. Then we add a subwoofer and a clean enclosure. Your dash stays original, and you get the bass you're missing.
This is one of our most popular upgrades for leased vehicles and for drivers who want the bass without the dash work.
Sound deadening makes a bigger difference than people expect
Adding sound-deadening material to your doors does two things: it stops rattles and vibration from your new speakers, and it quiets road noise so your music sounds cleaner. It's not glamorous, but it's one of the best bang-for-buck upgrades you can do alongside a speaker swap.
Plan it so you can add more later
We plan the install so you can keep going later — add an amp for the speakers, then a new head unit down the road — without rework. Tell us your budget and your sound goals and we'll map a path that fits the factory dash you want to keep.
